Back in June, the 'Artemis Fowl' author initiated a new programme called 'Once Upon A Place' and invited proposals from individuals and organisations interested in working with him.

One of the focuses of this project was fantastic places: extraordinary settings in which to stage very special and memorable storytelling events that spark children's imaginations and bring the magic of story and of books to life. These locations could been associated with favourite children's stories or maybe inspiring settings which have the potential to host atmospheric and exciting events for children.

With a huge volume of applications having been received, the schoolchildren were delighted to hear that their proposal to work with Mr Colfer in Duckett's Grove next spring was accepted.
